Man, I just keep coming back to this one. Every part of it just works, you know? It's the most fun thing I would still describe as "efficient". Jack Grimes

Apart from the fact that 'Reach for the Stars' is a perfect example of everything I love about computer music, the whole album is just an absolute belter of a piece of work. The soaring pitch-bent melodies and arpeggios, the basslines that make me want to dig out Thunderforce IV and the fact that (I don't say this lightly) some of the arrangements and progressions remind me heavily of Tim Follin. An utterly exceptional piece of work. Pure gold. Remote_

It's remarkable how he takes such bog-standard preset chiptune/breakbeat sampling fare and turns into something weird and menacing. If I had to visualize Dot.AY's sound, imagine a prowling vaguely humanoid mass of glitching video game sprites, textures and sky-boxes, from which two gelid, unblinking and hostile maroon coloured eyes stare out.
