Henry Homesweet is known for exploring creativity through limitation, usually with his signature selection of chiptune instruments. With Tape Tone however, his sound source is instead the legendary TR-808 (a real one loaned by a friend), crafting unexpected sounds and textures from the lush analog tones of the machine. The end result is a surprisingly modern production, yet still born from the same ethos of limitation that inspires his raw chiptune work.
